Born on the road.

A cross-country RV trip made the problem impossible to ignore: portable power is essential, but carrying a generator safely and efficiently should not cost valuable storage space—or place it farther behind the trailer than necessary.

The need discovered

A better answer than another bumper tray.

On that trip, the available choices kept coming back to the same basic idea: a one-size-fits-all tray attached behind the RV bumper. The tray held the full generator several inches behind the bumper, increasing the distance between the load and the bumper.

GenCaddy began with a different question: what if the carrier could fit the generator—and bring part of its load closer to, and over, the bumper itself?

A rearward tray increases the lever arm—the distance at which the generator's weight acts on the bumper.

The GenCaddy approach

Part of the load rests over the bumper.

Bringing the generator closer to the bumper shortens that leverage and reduces bending force compared with carrying the same load farther rearward.

The carrier geometry lets part of the generator's load rest over the bumper instead of placing the entire load behind it.

Protection at the rear

Upright steel members stand behind the generator, adding a physical barrier against incidental rear contact.

Made to adjust

Twin telescoping arms adjust from 18 to 28 inches in 2-inch increments, fitting the carrier to the generator rather than forcing every generator onto one tray.

Load behavior varies by generator, installation, road conditions, and RV bumper construction. Always verify the bumper manufacturer's load rating and all required clearances before installation.
